    Hair loss is becoming more common for a number of reasons, including: genetics, medications, various types of hair loss, chemical damage, hormonal issues, and chemotherapy. Whatever the reason, losing your hair can bring you down and take a toll on your confidence. Complete hair loss from chemotherapy (or alopecia) can be devastating and many of our clients express that the thought of  hair loss is worse than a medical diagnosis/condition.

    What is a medical wig? Any wig can be called a "medical wig," but the term most often refers to a wig structure on the top of the head, part and/or hairline combined with a hand-bound, natural scalp appearance area. They are often called Mono Top, Lace Front, Lace Top, or Hand Tied, and some of these provide additional "safety" features for people without hair.

    Most people with severe hair loss from medication never thought of wearing wigs or knew nothing about them. We felt it was important to help educate our clients and provide them with enough wig knowledge to be able to make an informed decision without any pressure.
